Last updated: March 26, 2026
Our Commitment
KJ Web Design is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and services, and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures We Take
KJ Web Design takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:
- Include accessibility as part of our mission and design process for every project we build.
- Provide text alternatives for all non-text content.
- Ensure sufficient color contrast ratios throughout our designs.
- Design all content to be accessible by keyboard navigation.
- Use semantic HTML to support assistive technologies such as screen readers.
- Provide skip navigation links to allow users to bypass repetitive content.
- Ensure all form inputs have clearly associated labels.
- Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second to prevent seizure risks.
- Build all client websites with accessibility compliance as a core deliverable.
ADA & Legal Compliance
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act apply to websites and digital content. Federal courts have consistently ruled that businesses must make their websites accessible to people with disabilities. KJ Web Design builds every website with these legal requirements in mind, protecting our clients from liability and ensuring their customers can access their services regardless of ability.
Assistive Technologies Supported
This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom and text resizing up to 200%
- High contrast display modes

Known Limitations
While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards throughout our website, some legacy content or third-party integrations may not yet fully comply. We are actively working to address any gaps. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us so we can resolve it promptly.
